This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

– Personal Care Giver
– Residential Disability Support Worker
– Respite Care Worker

This course covers a wide range of specialized skills and knowledge which includes advocating for people with disabilities, recognizing healthy body systems, and understanding people’s support. The licensed trainers from our partnering RTOs will give you guidance and insights in working to support people.
This course reflects the role of workers in the Disability Sector within a range of community settings and clients’ homes. To encourage people with disabilities to be independent, participate in community events, support relationships and provide care. It is suitable for people with care or community service experience and aiming for higher-level skills to be able to supervise and coordinate a team of disability workers.
By completing this course you will have the skills and knowledge to provide training and support to people with disabilities; enhancing their ability to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance and community participation.
Process:
· Eligibility Check
· Submission of requirements for the enrolment
· Once everything is reviewed and approved, you will receive a Welcome Email from the Admin with instructions.
· You will then be endorsed to one of our licensed trainers or Trainer assistant.
· The trainer will get in touch with you to talk about your experience in the industry and guide you on how to start collecting evidence and will touch base with you and give you feedback until you finish the course.
· Certificate will be issued Within four to six weeks of receiving sufficient and complying evidence of competency in all applied for units of competency.
